We are excited to announce the 2023 edition of the Young Finance Professionals Symposium: Quant Careers, which will take place in EY headquarters in Amsterdam on May 12, 2023! We welcome all quant finance professionals, graduates and students of quant-related programs to attend this exciting event.
The two themes of this year’s event are Diversity and Inclusion in Investing and Model Risk. Two exciting speakers will take us through these topics:
- Mr. Gibran Registe-Charles is a Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Urban Edge Capital. He worked for several major asset management companies and co-founded several hedge funds. More recently he served as a policy advisor at the European Parliament advising on Fintech and Banking regulations and working on the impact of Brexit on the financial services sector.
- Erik Kooistra, FRM, is a former laureate of the Best Quant Thesis Prize (2017) and is currently a senior consultant and Lead Model Validation at Probability and Partners. Over the last 5 years following his thesis prize, he has worked at trading departments of several major banks and developed his expertise in the areas of model development, model validation, and model risk management.
Most importantly, the Best Quant Finance Thesis Award 2023 will be awarded during this event. The three finalists will pitch their quant thesis and the winner will be decided and announced.
The day will conclude with drinks, food and plenty of opportunities for informal networking.
