TopQuants – the networking organisation for quants by quants, cordially invites you to its Autumn Event on
The impact of COVID-19 on modelling
Due to the COVID-19 crisis the event will be a virtual one, and for those of you who visit TopQuants events regularly – Autumn 2020 will be more like Spring (just with slightly worse weather).
We have three great speakers who will, each from their own perspective, give a presentation around the above theme.
The event will take place on the 24th of November, and will kick off at 15:00 sharp. At the event you will be able to hear from:
- Pasquale Cirillo (University of Nicosia / New York University) – The expectable unexpected and the unforecastable forecasts
- Luc Coffeng (Erasmus MC Rotterdam) – Individual-based modelling of the COVID-19 pandemic and its control
- Svetlana Borovkova (VU Amsterdam / Probability & Partners) – COVID-19 impact: from global macro trends to corona-proof quant investing
Each speaker will give a 20-30 minute presentation, and afterwards we will have a panel with the speakers. As with any TopQuants event, we will conclude with some networking.
Good to mention – we will ask a small fee for this event, which will partially cover the costs for running this event and as always serves to minimise the amount of no-shows. During registration you can choose to donate an amount of the proceeds to Voedselbanken Nederland, the Dutch food bank, or support a local brewer and receive a consumption for the networking part of the event.
